It's pretty corroded (woods trucks, bought many so they didn't get crushed; If I knew where to sand I might could find some stamped numbers to identify? Black tag - 6v
Red tag - 12v
No additional voltage indicator. Can you tell from anything inside, Bill?
6v through 1955-1st
Chevrolet trucks changed to 12v in 1955-2nd
GMC changed to 12v in 1956

If you are referring to Chevrolet trucks (vs GMC)
Pre-1953 (37-52?) belt width was 5/8"
1953 onwards was 3/8"(53-62).
