Are the clips riveted to the springs or are they loose? The clips on my '54 with heavy duty rear springs can slide back and forth.

flush riveted on the inside to the leaf. You can see the formed
or secondary head on the outside of the clip in the photo.
Also, the rear clips are a riveted to the leaf.
