It's a tachometer and is supposed to be for a 61 or 62 C10. It looks like the same tach for 64-66 trucks. If it would fit my 66, does it need a transmitter?

3171216 is listed as the head assembly for '61-'62 series 10 thru 30 (no distinction between 6- or 8-cylinder). The numbers are 3852111 for '64-'66 series 10 thru 30 6-cyl, or 3839947 for '63-'66 series 10 thru 30 8-cyl. units. A transmitter is only listed for the '61-'62 8-cyl. units.

Since the tach in question apparently needs a transmitter, that's why it's only listed for the 60-61 trucks. I'll need to look for the 8 cylinder part number for my 66 so I won't have to worry about needing a transmitter.
