Going to put bolt on disc brake system (drums back)seeing and reading about all the systems sold I don't know if I want to put master cylinder/filler under cab as orginal m/c under cab filler on firewall or the whole unit on fire wall. Anybody done this what do you ol wise ones think. Done tearing apart ready to start putting back together. Frame gets painted in 2 wks. I HOPE. Engine compartment getting 350 w/headers th400 trans will this change my options?? Question, Questions, popcorn.
The Truth is Out There | | | | | Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 385 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 385 | If you put a new master in the stock location it saves you the effort of reinforcing the firewall (I've heard tales of cracked firewalls from the stress of the pedals). I don't know how a new master will fit under the '59 floor, but on my AD the resevoir does not match the fill hole in the floor. A remote filler on a "stock location" master would be my choice. | | |
