The 63 truck manuals on e-bay are listed as being st-22 , does this sound like what I am looking for ? My immediate need is to find the linkage adjustments for the three speed as it is locking in second gear on me at times . | | | | | Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 33 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 33 | I have ST22 and the ST75 '66 truck supplement and I don't see a whole lot on adjusting the three speed linkage. From just quickly paging through it looks like just a few paragraphs in the three speed section and a little more about assembly in the steering section.
This is probably what you need;
Transmission linkage adjustment.
In cases where gearshift linkage has been disconnected or removed, proper adjustment sequence is important.
1. Install control rods to both second and third shifter lever and first and reverse shifter lever. Set both shifter levers in neutral postion.
2. Align both shifter tube levers on mast jacket in the neutral position. Position relay lever so that gearshift control lever is in neutral position.
3. Connect the control rods to tube levers making sure clamps are properly adjusted so that tube levers and transmission shifter levers remain in their neutral positions while tightening.
4. Move selector lever through all positions to check adjustment and insure over-travel in all positions.
Note: If mast jacket lower dash clamp has been disturbed at its mounting on dash, its adjustment to the steering mainshaft should be checked as outlined in the procedure in Section 9 of this manual.

I did a search on the three on the tree locking up or jumping out of gear seems to be the problem . The adjustment thread dealt with 50's AD trucks , not sure how much has changed in the linkage and shifter boxes . | | | | | Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 33 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 33 | The ST22 manual is a wealth of information and well worth purchasing. I think 3 on the tree problems are pretty well universal and not brand specific.

Might be the cheapest thing yet for the truck | | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 | your biggest problem will be wear and you usually cannot adjust that out. the holes in the levers get warn oblong and the rods get warn where they go through. you have to build them back up. the shift forks can be worn inside along with wear and tear in the trans (new bearings usually help there).after you make sure those areas are good then is adjustment time
