I bought Langdon's mini HEI set up with the external coil and today was working on the wiring harness etx... and have a question- somewhere along the way the two wires from the four-prong ingnition module got disconnected from the plug that attaches to the coil and I want to be sure I've got it hooked up right before I put juice to it and possibly fry the ignition module-

Looking at the coil it has the coil wire to cap terminal closest to me and then four spade terminals at the top, 2 x 2.

I belive the red wire from the module goes to the bottom right, the wire from the ignition switch goes to the top right and the brown/black (negative) wire from the ignition module goes to the bottom left terminal. Then the top left terminal is for a tach.

Is that right?

I was planning on calling Tom today after searching the internet all weekend and not coming up with a diagram that would be helpful=

I did find lots of info on aftermarket 4 wire HEI ignition modules, like the one in the mini-hei, but they are to improve RPM's above 4,000, which is close to the limit on the old 261 and would be a waste of money.

JiMerit- I appreciate the offer of help. If I can't get in touch with Tom Langdon I'll take you up on it.

Tom said that the red wire goes to the right of the number cast into the plug, which is on the right if the external coil positioned with the coil wire closest to you and the four spades furthest away.
