I'm getting close to having my '37 gmc 1/2 ton back up and running after a rebuild. The fuel line that was on there was not original and I was wondering what the original config was - it should be close to the same (other than the routing) in the 37 chevy.
Prior to rebuild it had a hard line from the tank stopcock which was routed to the frame, then a short (4'') segment of rubber tubing to the fuel pump fastened with clamps to the line and pump.
From parts available on jim carter, I've surmised that there was originally a short rubber tubing off the stopcock and then a hardline to the fuel pump. was there a hose from the hardline to the fuel pump as well? It seems like you would want a flex there as well as there is movement between the frame and the engine as well as the tank and frame.
