don't know if this is the right spot, but I am just wondering how do you hook up the connecting rod, that goes from the switch to the vacuum pump, on a 1951 chevy 3100?? and how do the grommets go? I've got new grommets but this truck never came with them so I don't know what grommets for where(one is a cone the other a circle). if memory serves me correct I believe that the "L" side of the rod goes to the switch and the "Z" side to the vacuum pump??

I believe you are correct on the orientation of the rod. As I remember the cone goes in the motor the flat one goes in the arm on the switch.
