Im new to the 3100 truck world and was wondering what are the sources for the finding of the obsolete parts.

My ujoint broke and then proceeded to grenade my bearing retainer plate and the front and rear yoke. The transmission is the muncie 4speed sm420 and the torque tube yokes front and rear.

I want to keep the truck all original

Cheers...Craig

Welcome to the Stovebolt pages. A great many of the parts for these trucks are available at the vendors listed in the tech tip pages. For parts not reproduced, there are several members who part out trucks. Put an ad in the swap meet section.

By the way, you can't keep a truck "all original" by replacing parts. The term 'original' means it is just as it left the factory with nothing replaced. 'Stock' is the term for a truck with replaced parts that match originals.

Filling Station in OR is a good parts source.

For reproduction parts, there is a helpful and extensive Links section on Stovebolt.com

Post a Parts Wanted ad in the Swap Meet. Novak may sell that cover/retainer, but I have never seen a vendor selling that cover/retainer as a reproduction part. If someone has found that part in reproduction, it would be helpful if they posted the vendor and part number.
