just need to vent. spent 2 hours with generators this fine sat. a little tapping and prying got both pullys off. the bad gen droped the key with a poke of a screw driver. the gen i plan to use with my original pully, i can't get the key out of the armature shaft. finally gave it a rest and plan to maybe dril some small holes to hope to weeken the key enough. am not sure i waht to heat around the bearing on the gen. arr!
thanks, doc. that is what i been thinking, first rule; "always use the right tool for the job". screw driver chisels, don't do it. parts store is open sun, i will get a small cold chisel, all i have now are wrong size. good night all.
