Maybe drill holes every 8"-10" and weld from the back so you don't have much grinding. Even with computer aid I am not much of an artist but this is what I think you are saying. Laying your hands on them might be as hard as modifying what you have. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 55 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 55 | The bumperI can get from Chevy of the 40s I just need some one that has a 40s bumper to measure it need to know if it will work on my 51 | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 | As far as I know they're curved differently and they're a different width. Call Chev's of the 40's to get the measurements. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 55 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 55 | I called them and they were of no help | | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 | Might have a look at brizbumpers.com They make bumpers similar to what you are describing. As 45gmcpu mentioned, stock 40/46 bumpers are quite a bit different in width and shape | | |
