Can someone tell me what shop in nor cal can put a bead roll on my front bumper of a 1951 chevy. Looking to put 2 rolls across the bumper in between the bolts one on top of the bolt length wise going across the bumper and one going across the bottom. Chrome it then paint the rolled in part red. Need to know a place that able to do this thanks

That would be a tough bead to roll into a truck bumper which is about 3/16" thick. Probably more like splitting a round stock in half and welding it to the bumper and finishing it someway...

If you are starting with an painted bumper, you could weld rod stock to it. Maybe drill holes every 8"-10" and weld from the back so you don't have much grinding.

Even with computer aid I am not much of an artist but this is what I think you are saying.

Friedgreen thats what I'm looking to do in your pic but where u have the 2 black lines I'm looking to ident the metal all the way across the bumper have it chromed then fill in the indention with red paint so the bumper has two red lines across it. what shop would be able to preform this

Ok so I found the bumper I'm looking for. They came off a 1940 Chevy truck anyone know if I can use that bumper on my 51?

It probably will need some modification to look right.

Did you physically find them or just picture find them. Laying your hands on them might be as hard as modifying what you have.

The bumperI can get from Chevy of the 40s I just need some one that has a 40s bumper to measure it need to know if it will work on my 51

As far as I know they're curved differently and they're a different width. Call Chev's of the 40's to get the measurements.

Might have a look at brizbumpers.com
They make bumpers similar to what you are describing.
As 45gmcpu mentioned, stock 40/46 bumpers are quite a bit different in width and shape
