But I don't know how wide it should be end to end. The rear fenders or 6'-2 1/2" outside to outside. And how low should the bumper be for best looks? Help Please. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s260/cfgilliam/5-24-2013018.jpg

But I think I would put it under the bed in front of the bumper later. I see how it might be visible under the bumper. The 70" or 71" sounds right for the width I need. For the trailer hitch I have two options a ball on top of the plate or the square hole receiver under the bumper. Is 18" from the ground to trailer tongue about standard. I guess that would determine how low the bumper would be. | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,518 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,518 | Looks a bit too massive to me from the back, but that is just my opinion. 1953 Chevrolet 3100261 cu inch, sm420, 3.55 rear, torque tube still, omaha orange, still 6 volt, RPO green glass, side carrier spare, all done In the DITY GalleryVideo of the 261 running1964 GMC 1000305 Big Block V6, sm420, the next cab off restoration

I took it off and put on a factory chrome one. Turns out all that weight in the back actually smoothed out the ride.
