The gauges in my '46 truck look like this. See 'gauges' link.

However, I saw a gauge cluster with the dark brown stripe continuing behind the MPH numbers. I have never seen one like this. Is this a '40, '41' or maybe '42 truck item? Maybe its' a car cluster versus a truck cluster? See 'Unidentified cluster' link.

I have no idea.

Any info on these clusters fellow stovebolters?

maybe need to investigate GM documentation, folks "restore" things to their own taste, including chroming the trim differently than the factory ... and sometimes the various plants used different suppliers for small assemblies

Those are Chevy guages, GM has full oil pressure, 80 or so PSI oil guage.

The first gauge picture is for sure a 41 truck gauge cluster. It has been restored using one of the gauge decal kits from one of the many vendor's. Also included in these kit's are the arched decals for the car cluster along with the clock face. The dark arch does not belong on the truck cluster even though the face plate has the recess for it. The bezel on the cluster was painted from the factory and the one pictured has the paint removed or been replaced with an after market one. Just completed the restoration of my 41 cluster and it looks just like your first gauge picture.
