Finally seeing some progress on my 1950 3600 body nd paint work. I have new steel bed panels, front pan, tail gate, cross members and wood kit... I'm using one original rear fender and one purchased used rear fender. The cab and front end are in great shape. I using the original bumpers and brackets and just painting them. If I don't like them, I can always get some repo chrome ones. Someone said this was smart to do.

I've created a new album and will be updating it as I get pics.

Since I could not make up my mind on color, I'm going with the original color (Windsor Blue) and white interior with my black wheels, running boards I think it will look fine.

Would like to see some other members trucks that are Windsor blue.

David, it looks like your moving pretty good now. 15 minutes a day gets a lot accomplished in a month.

...take a look in the gallery for your model truck. Surely there are quite a few that are what your looking for. Good luck.

So, making more progress. The rear fenders should be done this week and then finally the truck goes in the shop for the rest of the paint. It's hard for me to have patience, but seeing some of the results so far makes it easier...

I was just going to get some new repo chrome bumpers, but my painter friend said to use the originals and paint them. Less expensive then having them re-chromed and they seem to look good.

Thoughts?

If your grille is painted, do the painted bumpers. Othewise, I'd get the chrome bumpers to match..

Yup, grill is painted.. Seems to be the least cost and if I don't like things, I could always either replace the original bumpers with repos or have them re-chromed later.
