After a lot of searching on this site and others, thanks to the links, I've been able to determine the truck was built in Baltimore, close to where I used to live. My wife and I now live in South Carolina. I bought the truck to use as a driver, but as my son says about me, "my idea of acceptable isn't the same as others". I guess that sums me up pretty well, I've already done more to this than I intended.
My real project for the last five years has been a Harley Davidson roadster built on a 1967 VW pan. Hoping to get it on the road sometime this summer, but I've been saying that for three years. Anyway, I guess that about sums me up. When I'm not working on the projects, I like to fish, paint and write. Know several hot rodders from there. Have you made it to the Beacon for any of the cruise-in's?? I'm talking about the ones that Carolina Classic Car Club does on the 3rd Friday of each month. ...also, Carolina Classics big annual show is the 25th of this month at Sears Westgate. It'll be a big one. I'm a member and usually at each event. My wife says we've been to the Beacon before to get a fried turkey for Thanksgiving so maybe I can make that. Would be nice to meet you. Been a member of stovebolt for two weeks now and have already learned more than I did in the previous two years surfing thru manuals and the internet. Have 3 1941 1/2 tons I rescued and a 29 pickup. Also a rescue and all needing alot of work. So thank you all in advance for the help !
