FIlled in or 1/8th inch gap ?
Anyone have any good pictures of that?

In my opinion - not very uniform | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | well, the uniformity will be under the control of the applier, and practice makes perfect Bill | | | | | Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 338 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 338 | The stuff is not the easiest to pick out - did that already once. will have to sleep on it and see if I give it a go once more.
I saw a thread somewhere where someone used a cut piece of a liter bottle - may try that | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | yes, find something, preferably smooth plastic, that is barely the size of the gap and use that as a tool to 'trowel' it smooth - will usually help to wet the tool first and do not stop/start, get in a good position to run along at a smooth steady rate the full length of the seam

The dentist throws those away so ask if you can have yours when you go. Anything you try to fill it with will eventually fail and crack the paint. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | Vern, what does the assembly manual specify? I recall the previous discussion saying the factory did use sealer in there
