Ok I have a gap on the seam that runs around the back of the cab. Wondering how that really should look.

FIlled in or 1/8th inch gap ?

Anyone have any good pictures of that?

that was recently discussed someplace here - fill it with paintable flexible seam sealer and 'trowel' it concave so it's not visible from above or straight on, paint over it

well that filled the gap - but looks like crap. In my opinion - not very uniform

well, the uniformity will be under the control of the applier, and practice makes perfect wink

The stuff is not the easiest to pick out - did that already once. will have to sleep on it and see if I give it a go once more.

I saw a thread somewhere where someone used a cut piece of a liter bottle - may try that

yes, find something, preferably smooth plastic, that is barely the size of the gap and use that as a tool to 'trowel' it smooth - will usually help to wet the tool first and do not stop/start, get in a good position to run along at a smooth steady rate the full length of the seam

Not supposed to be anything in there, I used a dentists dental pick to scrape mine out. The dentist throws those away so ask if you can have yours when you go. Anything you try to fill it with will eventually fail and crack the paint.

Vern, what does the assembly manual specify? I recall the previous discussion saying the factory did use sealer in there

Section 14 sheet 9 states it should be sealed with sealer and a 1/16 nozzle and wiped smooth.
