For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 185 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 185 | It seems that my speedo works perfectly up to 40 mph, after that it shows a way higher speed than the truck is actually going. I have p185-75r14 front and p235-75r15 rear. Odometer works fine. Have a 283 with turbo 350 tranny. Any suggestions to remedy this problems, thanks HUGH | | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 247 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 247 | I would say that you have a problem with your speedometer. You didn't say what year of truck or if you are using the original dash. If it is a older vehicle that uses a speedometer cable from the transmission and your odometer works and is accurate, the speedometer probably needs to be sent to a speedometer shop to be repaired or recalibrated. Hope that helps. Jim | | |
