I would say that you have a problem with your speedometer. You didn't say what year of truck or if you are using the original dash. If it is a older vehicle that uses a speedometer cable from the transmission and your odometer works and is accurate, the speedometer probably needs to be sent to a speedometer shop to be repaired or recalibrated.
