I am not installing in an auto so colors etc are not applicabe. It is being used on a demo unit ie make power with bicycle for use in school training.
What I need to know is how to hook it up. Which terminal does what? Not even sure if it used external regulator. Wiring diagram and photo would be great.

Here is a wiring diagram but it will not help much as the terminals use plugs for the reg. B+ is output D- is the charge light There should be 2 or 3 more terminals that accept a plug to the regulator.

There are only two terminals to hook up to, as Toolbox said B+ is output connected to battery positive, and D or D+ is for the no charge light. Of course for there to be a complete circuit you will have to run a ground wire from the alternator housing to the battery negative terminal. I have never seen an externally regulated alternator with only two terminal connections, hope that helps. | | |
