Can anyone supply the correct point gap, spark plug gap and timing for 52 GMC engine?? Engines stumbling when accelerating. Need some good help here. Thanks, don. Sorry. Its a 228. Original engine. Carb also just rebuilt.

.18 is a good start for the points, 35 on the plugs. 0.12 on the intake and 0.20 on the exhaust. if you have a vacuum gage set timing to highest vac. you can get. if not time to the ball and go from there. buy a maintenance manual everything you need to know is in there. or check out www.oldgmctrucks.com

If no one posts 228 specs, the 248 specs should be close (from Rob English's web site).
