I recently ordered some wiper arms and blades and wheel bearings from Brothers trucks. I ordered them online where all items were showed to be in stock. I received an email showing that all of my items had shipped but no tracking number. I emailed them at 2 different adresses (customer service and directly back from the email they sent me) asking for a tracking number.They never responded. The order status on their website never even showed the order as being shipped but the email sent to me showed all items shipped. When I got the order today it only contained the wheel bearings and the receipt said that the wipers were back ordered. I called customer service this time. The man I talked to said that the wipers were not on the shelf when they went to get them and was sorry. I can understand making a mistake but you would think that they would notify you when they made it. The package was shipped priority mail and I was charged $24.50 shipping. That means that they charge around twice as much to ship as what they actually pay to the Post office. I thought that the guy from Brothers should at least knock off some shipping since it appears like they deliberately misled me about the back order but he seemed to think that he was doing me a favor by not charging me double since they would have to send another shipment to fill my order. Has anyone else been treated this way by Brothers Trucks. It seems like a poor way to run a business to me.

Early on in my restoration I ordered parts from them and had a very similar problem. I have not purchased anything from them since.
My issues, wrong product, high-shipping, multiple calls to sort things out.
I have found other vendors with much better service and fair postage. So many of these products are the same, so it comes down to service accuracy, pricing and shipping. If they are accurate, communicate stock issues and ship fairly you don't have to spend all day on the phone or the computer. When I order I look at all these and any Stovebolt related discounts. For me it came down to two vendors that made the cut, I buy and have bought the bulk of my parts from them.

I have that same type of expensive partial order shipping problem many times from other vendors. Jim Carter often ships partial orders. I expect shipping to cost 25% on top of any order from Jim Carter.

Classic Parts of America (née Chevy Duty) has been the best on the cost of shipping and partial orders. And, if you buy $350 at a time, it is free shipping for most parts

I am glad to see that it is not just me. I didn't want to badmouth anyone without letting them get a chance to defend themselves or make things right so I sent them a link to this thread just to be fair. I wonder if they will respond.

About given up on all the specialist outfits, now a fully signed up Rockauto man. I ain't no Fop man I'm a Dapper Dan man.

Used them for 2 years when redoing my truck and never had a problem and i am talking thousands of dollars and many parts even a drop ship on fenders and running boards.
