I just purchased a 1950 3100 in march. Its in pretty good shape buts needs a lot of TLC. Has a newer 235 w/3 on the tree. Engine s/n is T701A. I think it maybe from 1957 but not sure. Be forewarned that I have a lot of questions and will greatly appreciate any advise and help.

There are different ways to find out the date of the engine, ask that stuff in the 'engine' forum. I think the newer 235s had holes for the motor mounts on the sides.

Once I figure out how to post pictures I will. anyway I am trying to determine how to connect a return spring for my parking brake. The is spring hanging near the crossmember that connects the the cables to the drums but i cannot find a connectiontion point for the other end. I connection rod may be required base on a catalog picture of a kit there that classic industries sells.
