The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay Harness recommendations for '56 truck

I have a '56 chevy 2 ton flatbed truck that I want to rewire. The harness does not have to be 100% show correct but I do want an excellent quality of materials. I want to have a fuse panel and enough extra circuits for a decent stereo and A/C to be added as well as a couple of other accessories. I want the harness to look right going into the firewall and the plugs/terminals to have that well finished look(not hand crimped with generic terminal ends). Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality harness? Has anyone had a good experience using a companies harness products?

I've used wiring from 3 different suppliers - all were fine, and the correct factory configuration, for either generator or alternator -
you'll find folks to recommend every make, so you're best to just use a dealer you like and trust! remember Jim Carter [your area] has a 20% off sale right now

"extra circuits" just means a few more spots on the fuse panel, and the original fuse panel [not always installed, but available from most repro places] has about 3 'ACC' fuse spots that should do ya, don't need to order the very expensive packages some sell for all the street rod bling that you'll not likely use
