i just recieved my new turn signal mechanism from lmc. i am wondering if anyone can tell me how the heck it goes together. there is the main piece, which is easy enough. but then there is this little arced spring that i am not sure what to do with, there are two little brass loops that must connect to it somehow. i know that it attatches to the mechanism somehow, but how? my old one was completely broken when i removed the whell, so no help there. a diagram, picture, or description would be most helpful. also i am not sure how the cancelling cam goes back on there as that there was not one in there when i opened it up. please help, my sanity hangs by a thread. thanks in advance, the green hornet thanks you as well.

I only noticed your post now. I just got a turn signal switch from the wrecker the other day. It came out of a GMC truck and my guess is that it was from the early 60s (only the chassis and the cab were still there). Anyway, if you're still struggling I can take a picture of what I have, if you think that will help.

Sorry, no cancelling cam, nor did I pay any attention to what it looks like and where it goes. I'm using the switch for a 52 GMC which originally had no turn signals. I don't like those clamp-on retrofit switches, and I figured that this one would be relatively easy to install on my steering column. I will not have auto-cancelling though.
