Been away fom the Bolt for awhile. Been driving my 64 c10 for 2 years now and its really getting tired. It also has an attitude when braking.
Im looking for sugestions on adding disk brakes, and dropping the ft end about 3 inches. What is the most pocket friendly option?

I went with the 2 1/2" dropped spindles with power disk brakes on my 65 GMC . Best move I ever made on this truck..handles great and stops on a dime.

What is the height from the ground to the front wheel well lip?

The P.O. flame heated the front springs on my truck to lower it. I like the height (28"), but would like to replace the screwed over springs with OEM and use drop spindles like you did.

P.O. of my '62 C10 backed off the adjustment on the torsion bars to lower the front end on mine. I haven't taken the time to correct it yet, but it really messed with my headlight adjustment. I have them fully cranked up as high as they can go and I'm still low on the lights.

Just something to keep in mind when you lower the front end.

I think might just redo the 4 corner drums and heat the springs a little. Driving her everyday for the past 2 years (30,000miles) has taken a toll on all of the 48 year old parts. It's my only transportation and I really don't want to spend too much time workin on her. I'd much rather drive her.
Oh yea Alvin, the house is done except for a few minor touches.

measured my front wheel well for you..its 28 1/2" ...front tires are 235/70/15 hope this helps
