The T-5 transmission is not what I hoped it would be for my 37 pickup and I am ready to explore the 7004R transmission as a replacement. Things I don't know. Does the automatic transmission converter that Langdon made and the one that others make allow the bellhousing motor mounts used on the standard transmission to be used on an 700R4 set up? Will a master cylinder still work under the floor on such a set up? How do you cool the 700R4? I'm telling you - this is real new territory for me. It might be a big job, but while I'm at it I might as well go to a new engine, too. So this will be a BIG job. I'm ready as soon as can get the concept of this conversion. Help me ! Help me!

It uses side mounts. Keep it 6 in a row. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 | Thank You, Sir!
Still concerned about master cylinder clearence issues and floorboard clearences. I just don't know what to expect.

I can't tell you anything about the MC mounting on a '37. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | Joe, you know I have a V8 under my hood and I put the mustang booster and M/C under my floor board. Early on I started out running a turbo 350 but a few years ago went to a 700R4. I love it! I realize your situation may be just a bit different but it will all work. While my friend made the chassis bracket to bolt my M/C set up to it is not a big job. If I can take a few pics for you just let me know......
