I have a 1964 c10 and i just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and rebuilt the transmission and it won't move....it feels like it wants to move but it won't....i don't know if the clutch needs to be adjusted more or what but any help will be appreciated

Could be several things. Won't move in any gear including reverse? Probably clutch. Maybe your free play is too small. Should travel about an inch then feel resistance all the way down. Have someone push pedal while you watch linkage and clutch fork movement. Can you push truck while in gear? If you push in 3rd or 4th does eng turn over? Did you install Throw out brg backwards? Try extreme clutch adjustment until something different happens. If you rebuilt a standard transmission yourself, you must know what you are doing. Don't know what tranny you have but if it has linkage on the side like a car tranny/top loader, are they being shifted? Oh yes, install driveshaft.

It shifts into reverse and first but not 2nd or 3rd...throwout bearing is installed properly and driveshaft is installed... I'll have to adjust the clutch some more and if that don't work then I'll figure it out eventually

What type pressure plate, finger or diaphram and long or short throw out bearing.

Please explain! "It shifts into 1st and rev". Does that mean the truck moves in those gears? Does that mean it won't physically go into 2nd or 3rd and also won't move in any gear? I know you said it won't move in your first post. Just making sure. Getting confused as to whether it's a clutch or an internal tranny problem, so please clarify shifting with clutch and movement of truck. It seems like you are done with this post? Is that correct?

In first and reverse all it does is rev up and it will not shift into 2nd or 3rd

Do you have ANY free movement when your clutch pedal is at the top of its swing? bartamos says 1 inch; I prefer about 3/8" to 1/4" but that is just different opinions. That free play tells you that the throwout bearing is not keeping the pressure plate depressed partly. Readjust your clutch and try again.

The 55-59 maintenance manual says free play adjustment= 1". The 63 Chevy Truck manual says 3/4"-1". The 80-87 Chevy truck manual says 1 3/8"-1 5/8". In your case you need to try something to see if you can affect the engagement. Something is way off. The "no movement "indicates too small of a free play. The "not shifting" into some gears indicates too much free play. You may have two problems at the same time. Clutch and internal tranny. I assume you tested tranny before install to see that it shifted. BTW what tranny is it?
