Hello guys. My 1942 1.5 dump is leaking from the pto. Shaft seal, lever seal, ect. The brand is Central pto model 2b made in chelsea, Michigan. It drains the tranny within 24 hrs, so its bad. Of course all the local shops don't go back that far or never herd of that name. I'm sure I won't be able to get numbers off the seal so what can I do? Thanks, Mike.

Measure the I.D. O.D. and width and any good seal and bearing shop should fix you right up.

You do own a dial caliper, don't you? If not, get one. Also, with that level of wear you may need bearings as well as speedi-sleeves on the shafts.

Hy alltruck72, the following seal numbers are for a Chelsea p.t.o., which is possibly what central became, these are CR numbers
output shaft w/2.066" Seal O.D. p/n 12530
w/3.005" Seal O.D. p/n 21163
shifter shaft w/1.379" Seal O.D. p/n 6816
w/1.503" Seal O.D. p/n 8700
if these don't seem appropriate, just post the sizes you come up with and we'll see what we can come up with, hope that helps.
