I know heater hose will probably suck in. My originals are rotted, but they are huge O.D. About 1/2 or 3/4 I.D. But not hydraulic hose. I don't think you could clamp Hyd. line with hose clamps. Thanks.

I went to my local NAPA and asked for the thickest walled, highest psi hose in that dia. they had and bought a few feet and it has worked fine and was affordable. It isn't heater hose but looks like it, it's used for higher pressure oil and fuel lines. I'ts been in the truck for two years now and still looks fresh!

I found some fuel-vapor line at my NAPA. The guy said it would work and not suck in. Its about 5/8" I.D. Gonna give her a try. Guess I will know if it collapses.

That was the only thing keeping the hose from collapsing. I have both a CCKW and G506's and that's what's plumbed up to the vac's.
The trick is getting the support wire in the otherwise not that special rubber hose. I have wound springs on my lathe, and have a good idea for a way to make a segment long enough to go from the check valve to the 'vac.

Waiting for my Vac. from the rebuilder. I plugged the end of the vac line and ran the engine for a while. Didn't seem to have any leaks and the hose didn,t collapse yet.

The only rubber was a small section where it jumped from the hard line on the cab to the vacuum intake on the piston canister.
It was the same coming off the intake to the check valve. Hard line then rubber.
That is how the factory ran the lines for my MVs
