The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Driveline 53 3/4 ton master cyl

I can't find this part referenced in any parts manual parts catalog or the factory or service manuals.
There appears to be an orafice on the hollow bolt that goes through the brass block that shoukld line up with the side outlet. The hollow bolt will not come out of the block. It rotates freely and comes out a little ways then stopps like it was meant to stop.
I hope the pictures help.
does anyone have experience with this piece?
it's on the master cyclinder of a 53 3/4 ton.

Hy rgie, that is a banjo fitting and bolt, the bolt should come out of the fitting. If the seat in the fitting is okay there is no reason not to re-use it, use two new copper washers of the correct size when you re-assemble it for use, hope that helps.

I tapped on the bolt with a rubber mallet.
I will re-use it.
Do i need to line up the small hole in the bolt with the side outlet port? I can't tell if there is a groove around the bolt that would let the fluid exit the side port.
I will attempt to get the bolt out again, it would be a shame to mess it up since it's in good shape.

Hy rgie, there is no need to turn the bolt to a specific direction, as you suspected there is a groove all the way around the bolt to allow the fluid to move in any direction, hope that helps.
