I sound like Darth Vader!! Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,249 | Start by cleaning it with a mild soap and water. If it looks like enough paint is there, clean it up with a wax like Turtle Wax Car Wax. Start with a small area in the corner, scrub it a little with the Turtle Wax, wipe clean and see how it looks. If you really want it to pop, follow that up with a high quality wax. Right now I'm using some 3M stuff that is really nice. I bet it would work really well, I did the whole outside of my truck to bring out the original patina, but there isn't a lot of paint left in spots. I did the exterior of my truck w CLR and ScotchBrite too. It worked very well. Didn't damage any of the original paint. | | |
