I have a 61 K10 (4x4), does anyone have pictures of the engine compartment showing the motor mounts for a 235 engine, my truck came without its engine and looks like someone removed the original mounts.

goes under the timing cover and should sit on that round crossmember and then on each outside bottom of the bell housing

yes I can see it Joe.If he has the insulator(mount)he should just be able to bolt it to the crossmember
the only problem that I can see him having is if there was a 283 in there prior then the eng mounting bracket would be on the rear side of that crossmember instead of the frt for the 235

Joe, I got on a different computer and was able to open up the photo this shows it very well thanks alot, It has a 283-327 in it now and Ron you are right the mounting bracket is on the rear side of the crossmember, did these 4x4 all come with the 235 or was the v-8 available also? I thought the 235 was the only engine available in 1961 for the 4x4's.

you have to have something like a photobucket a/c or image shack.they are free to post your photos and the link them to here. i use my phone pictures all the time' for this site you would use what they call a direct link. you would click on it there to copy and then paste it here, same as the links that I have at the bottom, but mine is for the album and not the individual picture, for individual pic you just click on the individual pic
first you put the pics on your computer into your photo file. then you upload to where they are to be stored like P/B they tell you how to upload and store them then you bring the link here

the 265 [55-57] used the 2 bird legs

I think the 283 was the only V8 available in the '60-66 Chevy 4x4 trucks...no 265's. 327 in '66 2wd trucks, but not the K-Series trucks.

I believe what you say Tony is correct; but those of us who were around then knew that when you said 265 one was referring to 55 and 56 passenger car. trucks di use that mounting from 55-62

No confusion here. Since this is the '60-'66 Chevy truck forum, I was referring to the available V8 options, in the '60-'66 Chevy trucks, more specifically, the K-Series trucks, which was the within the context of the original thread post. Have a Snickers bar, on me.

Tony; I will leave the snickers to you.It was in reference to that style of mount and actually it was directed at someone else and someone else responded and understood what I was referring to. guess that others do have a broader knowledge . I am so sorry I didn't realize that this was such a true forum to only being restricted to 60-66 models. I take i that there should be no mention of disc brakes ,350 engines or t5 trans.
I guess it is a good thing that I didn't say that the frt I6 mounting has been basically the same from 32-62 in trucks
