That stepside looks to be in pretty darn good shape from here. Thanks for the pic.

Body and interior are pretty clean and original. Has a V8 and auto but V8 is stripped down to block. I'm replacing driveline and going to a T5 I just picked up off craigslist. I've also bought an additional 66 with 6cyl and 4 speed that will be donor truck for bellhousing, linkage and some other misc pieces. Pretty rotten cab on it (long step side) but does come with spare doors. spare front bumper and new glass.

I just bought a T5 to put in my 65 stepside. Maybe we can compare notes? I'm about 1 month away from bolting it on. Just need to rebuild it first.

I'll be glad to compare notes on this as I gather all my parts and kick off this project. Truck and T5 are both in Texas but I'm in Colorado so I'll need to make a sweep up trip to pick up everything first. I closed a long distance deal on a 86 chevy today that will be donor for disc brakes, accessories brackets, alternator and give me spare small block. Also in Texas. My Texas nephews will be glad when I've got all my necessary goodies rounded up since they are the ones inspecting for me.
