What does one do with an ugly beltline crack on a 52 3100? The top groove is nice sheet metal smooth but the bottom crack ( I guess where the top of cab is mounted onto lower part of cab) is awuful looking. I tried filling it but when u shut the doors, the paint cracks. What to do? Weld it smooth might work but it's a little late for that for me.

How about some type of flexable sealer?

That crack is supposed to be there. I cleaned mine out with a dental pick and sanded by hand as deep as I could get. If you are trying to get it smooth like the top of the belt line I don't believe it will ever happen.

yes, what they said - you might try pumping a good seam sealer in there, but paint will likely always crack from the flexing so don't try to get it rounded like the top edge, use a tool to smooth it concave so it doesn't show

Thanks guys. That's what I thought. I may try a flexable sealer. I sanded it and repainted the area after using a dremel tool to clean out the filler I had in there that was cracking along with the paint, but it still looks terrible. A black sealer would work/look good on this truck i think. Now to find an appropiate sealer.
