The driver door should lock by pushing inside handle forward, correct?
My driver door opens and closes nicely but does not lock. I do not see a difference in how the latch moves or looks compared to passenger door.
Passenger side locks correctly with the key.
Is there some adjustment point or does latch need replacing?

yes, both sides should act the same, need to open the panel and inspect how things move, there are springs involved in both the remote and the latch - no adjustment I know of but something might be worn, broken or out of place, particularly if the outside handle sags

Driver side gets a lot more use than passenger side. One of the great challenges with these trucks is getting doors to align and work properly. After 60+ years there can be wear on the latch, door or cab or both. You also get wear on handles and linkage. Check all the parts carefully for operation, damage etc. they are pretty robust and new parts are available (not as robust). Good luck!
