What is a good upgrade option for drum brakes on '52 AD3100 ?

I am looking for under floor master cyl booster options. What is a good donor vehicle? I am keeping drum brakes for now. I am ok with a non power brake option as well. My original master cyl is frozen and I need options.

There is so much knowledge on this forum, I can't seem to narrow a search down. Thanks for anyone willing to share.

Most of the specialty supliers have the conversion kits. CPP has a lot of brake upgrade parts.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

When I rebuilt my 52 3100 I installed a dual master from a 67 C10 chevy truck it's a drum drum ap.no power brakes. Also had to get the adaptor to mount it.Now I'm rebuilding a 53 3/4 ton GMC and I rebuilt the original master and installed it.So I guess both options are fine if you're staying with the drum brakes.

I like the CCP kit I used on my '52. I was able to keep the original cross member but it required modification. I also had to custom locate the proportioning valve to frame of truck. I think the CCP kit is a quality kit. But, seems like more than what you want to tackle.

Do you have a part number for the kit?

mr mahoney, PirateJack offer's a great under floor dual master cylinder/booster kit that comes with the brackets and pedal ect. This is a great set up and if you ever decide to go disc your all set up. It is a nice bolt on kit and was fairly priced when I got mine back a year or so ago. My experience was they're nice folks to deal with and may even offer a discount. They are located in Asheville,N.C. which is not far from Tenn depending on where your at.
Good luck regardless of what you decide.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
