There are at least 3 different rear axles used in the S10 4x4 depending on year/model, the 7.5" and 7.625" 10 bolts, and a modified version of the 8.5" 10 bolt from the full size truck (ZR2 package). The 7.625 is the most common, and it and the 8.5 were also available with disk brakes after '98 as Curt pointed out. The 8.5 axle is also wider than the others, by about 2".
