For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 1 Moderated | | Moderated Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 1 | Hi Guys (Ladies, too), I'm new to the forum but not to Chevy trucks. Over the years I've had at least one truck in each year range from 1947-1997; not so many of the newer ones. Currently, I've got a '72 Blazer (rust bucket), and am picking up a '70 Pickup next week; its body will go onto the Blazer chassis for a cool little "shorty" shop truck (once I build a nifty little flatbed for it). I've also got my eye on a very nice '56 Suburban that's a completed truck. I retired from teaching auto and machining for over 30 years (5 years ago), so I may be officially classified as an old fart. My vehicles get driven year round unless I have to worry about some fool sliding into me; I have a '63 Ranchero (now Chevy powered), a '64 Econoline (didn't want a Corvair, sorry), and a couple of other projects going. I make custom shifter knobs as a retirement business. Not hawking for business here; I'm so busy with wholesale work that I'm dropping most of my single projects. That ought to do it for now! Hey kooknobs, welcome to the Stovebolt. I believe you'll fit right in here. Lots of knowledge and great folks. Sounds like you have a lot of experience to share as well. I'm sure you'll see and find other stovebolters from your area.
When you can post up a link to some pictures. We love old chevy iron and love the pics. See ya around the garage. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 | Welcome koolknobs, I'm sure you'll fit right in with all that experience.
