One thing i discovered was my rear break drum assembly was missing a cross piece between the break shoes -at the top near the wheel cylinder. It is so that as the cable pulls the rear shoe this cross piece pushes the front shoe against the drum. I was able to find the piece. What proportioning valve did you use? how chosen? I used 2, 2lb valves for the front disc brakes. I used 1, 10lb for the rear brakes. I chose based on cheapest price on ebay.

What is the brass block that the residual pressure valves are attached to? i thought that was the proportioning valve???

That is the distribution block. I don't have a proportioning valve in my setup.
