Looking for a pre made, basic original type harness for my 53 3600. Don't need for concours judging, just basic harness ready to drop in. Anyone?

Thanks
Jim

They sell them but the very idea of them being original cloth/connectors makes them expensive, plan on 3-4 times more expensive then a plastic coated wire replacement. I have never seen a budget version in cloth. The cloth was the factory original until 1954 when plastic coated wire was introduced.

Plastic is fine with me as long as I don't have to do any cutting of wires or soldering connectors.

This plastic-coated wiring harness is good - Classic Parts.

This set should be good, but a little more expensive - Jim Carter

Both cover standard circuits, with a generator (and include extra wiring for turn signals).

I have the Classic Parts harness it works great, easy install and you can get generator or alternator and turn signal wire options included. Here you can see some of it, they provide a coded sheet and all wires are numbered.

It was your "original" comment that threw me a bit.

I have the basic 6v harness from Classic Parts. Can't be beat for the price.

This harness is from Jim Carter. I like the way the wire covering is braided and the stripe. Just kind of sets it off some. ] harness harness
