I figure that as anyone with the experience doing that many and for as long as he's done it, he knows enough to at least avoid the problem suppliers... So I wouldn't worry about it.

kit, there is a difference between the two. The
difference is in the head gasket. Do not put a 235
head gasket on a 261, or you will be in serious
trouble.

If you,re gonna do it you,re self,
Pay Attention to that!

I'm planning on a complete rebuild so I'll most likely get everything from Egge. Thinking I'll go .040 over on the pistons. From everything I've read it sounds as if the stock cam is fine. Any thoughts on that?
I really appreciate all the advise.
This is my first complete engine rebuild (other than a 350 many years ago) so anything else you all can suggest is welcome. | | |
