I like how the back sits, though, so I won't drop the back.
Is there any danger to the U-joint if I drop the front and not the back?

However, the rest of the motoring public is at risk from having to share the road with a truck that's deadly dangerous due to handling problems.

I know the drum-brakes-all-around is dangerous, but I don't have the cash for a disc-brake upgrade yet.

Check out Early Classic Enterprises. They have springs that are shorter, however they still have the original spring rate. You can safely drop the truck with 2" shorter than original springs. I have had them on my 71 for nearly 3 years now with no problems. I use it everyday for my daily driver to work and parts chaser on the weekends. If you want to drop 3" then you can go with a 1" shorter than original spring and also use a dropped spindle. CLICK HERE - CHECK THESE GUYS OUT

I will eventually use dropped spindles, but I don't want to do that until I can upgrade the brakes to discs in the front. Right now I don't have the $ for that whole package.
I just want to drop the front so it'll stop looking like a "farm truck," and I think I can do that in an afternoon with the drop-springs and shocks.
