Identifying rear axle help #916985 02/03/2013 6:02 PM

msg New Guy M Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 8 GA	Trying to ID the axle, and I have only been able to find that it has 12 bolts and has this on the bottom right side... msg New Guy M Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 8 GA	It is a 66 Chevy c10 fleetside, however between the cab and bed the frame has weld marks that appear to have modified. I may have a cab from 66 and a bed from a 64. Not sure. 66birdman New Guy 6 Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 12 Idaho	LMC lists a 12 bolt 8 7/8" for those years with anything from a 3.08 to a 4.11. If you cant figure out what it is you can open it up and count the teeth on the ring gear then divide it by the number on the pinion gear. The resulting number is your gear ratio.
