does anyone know where i can get an add-on turning signal harness for my 50 AD? anywhere on line that sells em cheap and simple? ive seen these big bulky ones that cost like 50 bucks at napa. all i need is one that will signal left and right. thanks

Go to any parts store and get a three position toggle switch that has contacts on/off/on. Hook the left lights to one one terminal and the right to the other on terminal. Power is normally hooked to the center terminal. You can mount the switch on the bottom side of the dash within easy reach where it won't even be noticable. No hill for a climber!

I bought a turn signal switch from Golden States Parts. $18.95. I had already installed a wiring harness from Chevy Duty, which includes all the turn signal wiring other than the switch. Very simple installation. If you haven't converted your parklamps and tail lamps to accept a dual filament bulb, you may want to consider it as it makes a very neat installation.

The switch is chrome plated relatively small and looks right at home on the AD steering column.

thanks for the info guys, i as well have contimplated the 3 toggle switch, however, how would you get the whole flash thing into the wiring of it. my flash is a 550, so has 3 points. from my little electrical experiements, ive noticed that two of the three are interconnected, meaning power will go into one the the points and then out the other, what ever that means. anyways, a little confused on the wiring for that but anyone able to hook me up with a good explanation?

Hope I get this right as I am doing this from memeory and am also heavily medicated for kidney stones. O.K. hear goes; power should be attaced to the post on the flasher that is not interconnected. The two post that are together; one should go to your turn signal switch and the other goes to you emegency fasher switch. If you hook it up this way and you see smoke, I didn't have anything to do with it.
