I guess you could get it to "physically" work/attach by enlarging the mounting holes in the carburetor's base. The standard 216 carburetor will not allow your 235 to run optimally. Check e-bay for rebuildable cores or you local craigslist. Some of the venders sell core carbs as well as rebuilt ones.
