From some information, it seems to me that it might have a black body with a white toggle which says "AIR", as opposed to "HEAT". The switch for the recirc and fresh air heaters may have been different. Any information from someone who knows would be much appreciated. | | |

The 1954 Chevrolet Accessories Installation Manual" shows a toggle-style switch for the Air Flow (Fresh Air) Truck Heater. The manual has no picture/drawing showing the word on the switch. The switch that I have for an Air Flow heater has "Heater" on it.

There is an old style resistor coil on the back, along with a fuse. The coil has three leads - one at each end, and one in the middle. | | |
