My 1960 1/2 ton short bed was a 3 on the tree from the factory. Now it has a sm420 4 speed on the floor. What is the correct drive shaft for this truck?
Thanks !

one that fits wink are you missing the shaft altogether? are you looking for length or a part number?

I'm sorry to be a bother! My question; Is a one piece shaft stock on a 1960 1/2 ton 4 speed?
Thanks again

OK I had a '60 with a SM420 trans and it had a two piece shaft with a carrier bearing just infrom of the x in the center of the frame.

Oh and BTW if you look on the shop manual, youwill not find anything on the drive shaft! Look under propeller shaft!
