Help ! Don't know where to begin other than I bought both original outer ring rim & tubless type budd wheels to replace the 16.5 std type wheel on the front of my one ton. I am convenced that someone switched the brake drums in order the convert from the budd design to the 16.5 that were found on 3/4 tons of the 70's Are 3/4 to one ton hubs & brake drums interchangeable? - How can I identify how to correct this mess? Any responses greatly appreciated...Thanks

Hy 03marauderman, the stock one ton front hub would have an adapter on it to place a reversed dual type wheel in the proper place. So you're probably correct when you say someone swapped front hubs to mount single type wheels on the front of your truck. So you're looking for a set of one ton front hubs, I believe you should be able to swap your bearings and brake drums over to them once you have the hubs. Try posting an ad in the parts wanted section, hope that helps.

Just as a matter of passing, Fo*d and Dodge both used what you are calling "3/4 ton" wheels right until the switch to metric in the 1998 - 2000 period on some 1 ton trucks. I have found them from 6" - 10" wide and 15" to 17". I don't what was used on Chevrolets. I know this doesn't help, and 3B is probably exactly right about a hub swap.
